******I have a client with the briefing as follows****** I would like to create a subscription based online digital logbook for pilots within the aviation community. The logbook wil have 30 columns and about 20rows per page, this will conform to the regulated standard. There will need to be a profile for each user, they can input certain information if they wish to. This can include licence/medical expiry dates. They then can be informed 60days before their licence is due to expire. Aircraft are broken up into numerous categories. When a user enters a new category of aircraft for e.g. a P28A, the system should recognise that this is a new type entry aircraft. The user then can add any standard systems to the aircraft, A list which will be compiled at a later stage. This can be a tick box. Aircraft too are identified by a registration. normally in South Africa a ZS or ZU followed by a - then a three letter identifier, although it is not uncommon four south africans to fly foreign registered aircraft. In any event I would like the system to identify a registration and store that in a community database so that the next time any user on the system enters that registration it will automatically associate it with a specific aircraft. An example is: User 1 enters enters a aircraft with a registration ZS-ABC. The system recognises that its the first time ZS-ABC is in the database. It will ask the user would he like to add the aircraft. The user fills in the necessary details and the registration is stored in the database. User 2 enters a flight into the logbook and enters registration ZS-ABC, the system automatically recognises the aircraft type. User 2 can confirm that the details are infact correct. There should also be a way for all the inputed data to be summarised. A user will be able to see the total flights including hours over the last 6 months or any predetermined date. The user should also be able to view his/her total hours on any specific aircraft or specific system over a predetermined date. I have attached a few diagrams to help you understand further the idea of my project. There is a flow chart of how client would imagine the website to be used. There is the important data entry process, of course clients is all low detail. There is also an XLS document of how the logbook would be printed out. The chosen developer must have the necessary skills to develop this project and be good in english.
