I'm having a book designer create a cover similar to Autobiography of a Yogi. The issue is - I have an older image I want to use - of The Dalai Camel - which is a low resolution image. He needs a high resolution image. It's just from the chest up, including head and folded hands. I asked if he could use that image, and give it a softer/etheric look, and here's how he responded: In regards to the image you sent before, making it soft won’t help. The problem is that, at 72 dpi, it will look pixilated when revised for a 6” x 9” cover, and no amount of softening effects will fix that problem. Does a higher resolution version of that image not exist anywhere?
I’ll be the first to admit that Photoshopping is not my strong suit. I’m a document designer, not a graphic designer. I can do touch-up work just fine, but for heavier manipulation of an image, I’d want to work with a graphic designer to get it right.
SO - I need a graphic designer who can take a low res image and make it look good enough for a book cover in high resolution, eliminating the pixilation.
