I’m ready to bring 4–5 interns on board for our R&D / data-collection team and need an HR professional who can own the entire sourcing and screening cycle for me. The profiles we’re after blend strong technical know-how with solid soft and leadership skills. On top of that, each candidate must show hands-on experience in data analysis and a proven research mindset, as these interns will be supporting experimental projects and collecting large data sets for our database. Here’s what I expect you to run with from day one: • Draft concise, appealing internship ads tailored to the above requirements and publish them across relevant job boards as well as university or boot-camp channels. • Proactively source passive talent through LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Kaggle and other niche platforms suited for data-savvy students. • Manage an ATS or similar tracking sheet to monitor every applicant’s status. • Conduct first-round resume reviews, skill-fit calls and basic behavioural screening to check for those technical, soft-skill. • Present a short-listed batch of interview-ready candidates—aiming for at least three strong options per seat—complete with your assessment notes and recommended next steps. • Coordinate interview calendars between me, my R&D leads and the candidates until we have 4–5 signed offer letters. Success for me looks like interns starting on schedule, each already vetted for technical depth, communication clarity and the curiosity we need in a research environment.
