508435 convert .ai file to PDF

I have a CS5 AI file that when opens says "This is an Illustrator file that was saved without PDF content.

I don't have the latest version of AI and I cannot open it.

It's a 27 MB file. I can provide access via a dropbox account.

The end result I need is either a PDF or a JPG file of that image.
