We are an advertising agency. For the advertisements and promotions to work, they must be implemented correctly in the store. Often, business owners do not realize that their employees are not accepting coupons, because it is too much work to bother processing them, or they do not fully understand the promotion, so they are not explaining it to the customer correctly, and the business owner's advertising money is wasted. Often times, the store itself isn't open at the stated times, or the employees are not answering the phones. When the advertising gets few results, the store owner may blame the agency for the failure of the promotion. We do intense research into each store we work for. We track the performance of each of our promotions. I need three American-speaking professionals to act as "promotions investigators".
You must have a phone in the United States, with a US phone number. Ideally, it should be in the North Eastern part of the country, best situation : NY. You must have constant access to a computer. You may have an accent, but you must be able to communicate very clearly, as an American, and have a strong knowledge and undertsanding of products like pizza, Indian take out food, decorative items, Mexican food, ice cream, modeling contests, sports equipment, fast food, hand blown glass for smoking needs, guns and gun permits, American cars, pets and more.
You will be shown 5 advertisements via Adobe PDF, and asked to call the businesses in that ad, asking employees to give you more information about the promotion. Most jobs require one call per business, but if the question is about hours, you may be asked to call up to three times.
This job calls for some investigative ability. You will be calling as though you are a customer. Your job is to obtain information, without revealing the fact that you have been hired to investigate. Nevertheless, we do not want anyone to lie. We need people that are good socializers, and know how much information is appropriate to give in any given scenerio, for example, a simple call about a promotion.
If the investigator reads off the questions in an obvious way, or tells the store owner they are being paid to investigate a possible problem on their end, it will result in bad feelings with our clients. If are successful, on the other hand, they will be hired to do other marketing jobs for higher wages.
You will be given 3-5 questions to ask each store owner or employee.
Each should take 1-2 minutes to fill out.
Therefore, some communicative and writing skills are required.
Each job is 5 businesses that may require one or 3 phone calls or emails, and the completion of one follow up report, which we may later use to reference with the business owner, if neccessary.
