There is quite a bit of work involved in the automated creation of a 3D avatar from lidar and camera data, but it is a task that I would enjoy greatly. I could see using Vision, or a similar AI system to match training poses to the standard model, which would probably be dictated by the final output format, be it AVT, SceneKit, VRML, or whatever.
