Let me begin by explaining the background to this project.
ZK Spreadsheet is an open-source application that allows spreadsheets to be embedded into a webbased application and worked on collaboratively by a number of users. It provides similar capabilities to Microsoft and Google, except that it allows the spreadsheet application to be behind a user-controlled firewall.
My background is writing spreadsheets, not in Java or Apache-Tomcat, which is why I'm interested in evaluating this project. I have set-up a number of websites usng java scripts provided to me. The documentation for the ZK suite of applications is written for experienced Java developers, which is why I'm running into initial set-up problems
This project has two linked steps:
Step 1: I require someone to configure ZK Spreadsheet on Tomcat 7.0.0 and ensure the application is working. This will require complete set-up of ZK 2 beta Spreadsheet application into Tomcat 7.0.0 and testing to ensure it functions with a sample spreadsheet.
Step 2: Transfer of detailed explanation of configuration by e-mail or, preferably, secure remote installation onto client PC.
If ZK Spreadsheet passes the client's evaluation, there will be a requirement for a follow-up project to install the application on a website for a number of user trials. If you need more information or clarification, please ask
