This is a research project that needs to be done for mobile devices. It combines the sense of simple MMOG style graphic and gameplay into a typical mobile learning [url removed, login to view] main idea is the type like Tibia Micro Edition game, a MMOG for mobile devices, but much simpler than that because its not totally a game that requires much issues of storylines or gameplay issues. Think of it of that game being implemented into a scenario of a classroom and school environment. Of course, the idea is much more than that, because it would require an exact replica of how teaching is done in mobile learning, which includes:
We suggest that you read the conference papers first to get an idea of this project (will be given later). The idea was to first build the game classroom first, then the entire university itself. Along the way of BOTH these two systems, there will be new inputs of instructional designs because this is an on-going project to develop a good M-learning system.
This is not a one-time job, instead, it is an on-going job that needs commitment and maintainence within the next 1-2 years or less. Thus it would be best to let know from the beginning that along the way of developing this system, there will be lots of changes and new developments that will be needed to be input in the game engine - so this is not one of those "do it one-time" project.
All code lines should be commented of what they do to further explain them.
Screenshots and explaination will are given and will be displayed in along the timeline.
There should also be discussions on what are the best methods for this system. These are proposed ideas, but if you have better solutions, its best to hear it - however, the final decision are to be made by us.
If possible, it is best if communication is to be on chatting and voice, preferably by MSN Messenger.
Please provide us with examples of your previous works on this type of projects involving multiplayer mobile games, or mobile learning, or both. Preferably J2ME, but it is open for suggestion.
