I am posting this project again. Unfortunately we had to do a server migration and I was not able to follow up on this project because of some problems that arose in that process. My sincerest apologies to the people that bid on my original post and got no answer from me. I assure you this will not happen this time. Now back to the project description.
We need a simple (and lightweight) HTML editor with cross-browser capabilities that is able to format text with:
Bold, italics, crossline, underline, align (left, center, right, justify), subscript, superscript, bullets and numbering, horizontal rule, font color, font size and highlight (font background).
We started working on it based on jwysiwyg but we got busy with other projects so we want to outsource this one.
Attached is our progress where we left off. Right now the editor is not working with some browsers (e.g. Internet Explorer) apparently because of the use of the function execCommand with the 'inserthtml' parameter (line 939 is a good place to start).
The project scope is to have a light, very user-friendly and stable cross-browser HTML editor that we can configure to define which of the buttons / functionalities are to be shown to the user. Therefore some more work needs to be done to have the font color and highlight color be easy to use and very intuitive).
