I have a ruby script running on my Mac that uses appscript (an applescript-to-Ruby interface) to drive Safari to log on to several banking sites to collect my balances in various categories. It works fine, but it is a god-awful hack. I have just added a new bank to my collection, and its website is the worst I've ever seen.
Although my platform (Mac, Safari, Ruby, appscript) is unique the fundamental problem is universal. Luckily, I have the financial resources to pay for a good solution.
In my prime I could have done this job in 2 hours tops --- but now I'm an old geezer without the patience to learn all the XML and DOM stuff I should know to produce an elegant, sound solution. That's what I'd be paying you to code up... take a look at the attachment. And don't laugh.
