I need help with an interactive map project: [login to view URL]
I don’t think I’ll be ready for a new developer for at least three weeks. The current dev has a few bug fixes remaining to complete and we need to move it from his GitHub account to my domain. The map part is done, but the UI could use some tweaks. Specifically:
• The two dropdown menus do not work in Safari and my current developer doesn’t have a Mac and has no experience with Safari. Also, they look a little homemade, so I’d like to replace them with something more standard (but still visually customizable) and cross-browser-compatible.
• The radio button works in Safari, but with its off-center selection dot and misaligned labels just looks homely. Again, I’d like to replace it with something more standard.
• There’s at least one minor visual adjustment I’d like to have made: The decorative corner doo-dads in the black panel should all the same distance from the edges of the panel.
• I’ll need to add links to Patreon and PayPal accounts, the only way I can think of to monetize this project. My current thinking about how to accomplish this is to add an About or Support tab to accommodate the links and a small amount of text. Soon I hope to add a link to an online store as well.
I will have more substantial needs in the future. For example, the battle map will eventually need to have interactive markers added and the user should be able to move between maps showing the battle at different stages.
