We are searching for a way to register a URL click via javascript, but not to redirect to this URL.
We have a website that has a form. By clicking <a href="#scroll">LINK </a> it will scroll to the form that is located on the same page: <div id="scroll">FORM CODE</div>
We need that after clicking this scroll link, it will also register a click for URL that looks like this: [login to view URL] This is needed for tracking software to register from which sites clicks are coming.
Also, we need a second version of this code that would register a click to the URL only once. After a person from the same page clicks more than one time to this URL, it would register it as a single click. So that it would register a click only once for the same page.
