I'm starting on a new web application. Backend will be Flask or Django and MySQL. I'm thinking Django is the way to go, but I'm open to suggestions. I would like to stick with Python as the language, unless you have a very convincing argument.
I'm looking for someone to help me to get going and build a strong infrastructure. I am (was a long time ago) a ASP.NET C# developer and I've got Python experience, but never Flask/Django.
You will help me to select a framework for my web application taking into consideration performance, scalability and security. We'll be getting a database going, template system, Login page, home page, profile page, log out etc... We'll take it from there going forward. I had a lot of experience using Telerik for ASP.NET which was great, but I'm not sure if something like that exists for Python. We need something that can make the menuing easy, make tables easy, authentication etc...
Your job at first is to help getting all of the right tools in place to make future development easy. Later we can work together on the meat of the application.
I live in GMT-5, so I am usually available from 6pm to 11pm local time, but I can also be available during normal business hours for occasional messaging.
I'd like to hear your suggestions.
