Fundraising Thermometer - Meter increases with donations entered

The project is a minor web/desktop application to be able to visually show out the total donations collected in a fundraising event on a Thermometer dynamically. When a donation comes in, The data is entered into an interface one donation at a time. The total required donation amount is set at the beginning and the donations start at a previously collected amount, also at the top. The donation fields are just : Donation No, Donation Name, and Amount, Announcement Indicator Use any easy to setup database/language for me, I don't really care.. As the donation record is entered, the Donor name shown beside the thermometer, as a list and fades out 10 seconds after the name is shown.... The names can completely be turned off from a toggle on the interface side. The interfaces allows you to view all previous entries in order and edit/delete any donation record and will adjust the total donation amount and meter automatically. The total sum of all the amounts is the amount reflected in the thermometer dynamically at the top and with a red color bar showing the percentage of donations collected. (If you can think of a better visual representation of total donations received, I'm all ears), but I need this ASAP. The project once started should only take 2-3 days. The donation meter is auto refreshed every 10 seconds via ajax. The sample image of a thermometer is attached.
