The core of my Kotlin-based Android app is already in place, yet the notification layer still feels incomplete. I need someone to step in, inspect the existing code, and make the reminders behave exactly as users expect. What still has to work flawlessly: each reminder—whether it’s a calendar event, a rent due date, or any custom note—must raise a notification that appears both on the lock screen and in the notification bar. Every notification should ship with a built-in snooze action, play a custom sound I’ll provide, and follow a distinctive vibration pattern so users can recognise it instantly without looking at the phone. The job in brief • Audit the current implementation and identify the missing links (channels, pending intents, foreground/background nuances, Doze mode handling). • Code and wire up the snooze action. • Assign the supplied audio as the notification sound and embed the vibration sequence. • Guarantee consistent behaviour on Android 16 through the latest release. • Hand back the updated project plus a short README that explains where you touched the code and how to extend the pattern to new reminders. If you have recent experience with NotificationCompat, WorkManager/AlarmManager, and adaptive notification channels, you’ll probably find this a quick, tidy task.
