Landscape Plan for Front of House in Stowe Vermont

We have a rental house in Stowe Vermont that is in dire need of some planting in the front of the house. We have brought the house back from many years of deferred maintenance but we are very uncreative when it come to landscaping. I am an engineer and my wife is an accountant... We would like very low maintenance plantings as the house is a short term rental and we can not be there all the time to do the upkeep. Please review the pictures with the following in mind: 1) I have installed an electrical conduit to the right side (looking at the house) end of the walkway at the stone drive for a lamp post or something. 2) I have also run a conduit to the center of the circle of the driveway. 3) any other lighting can also be run to accommodate accent low voltage etc. We are looking for a simple planting plan that would create a more inviting area.
