I’m an intermediate English speaker who already communicates comfortably in everyday situations, yet the sound of my speech clearly reveals that English isn’t my first language. My next goal is to polish my accent—separately mastering the rhythm and phonetics of both General American and Standard British pronunciation—so I need a coach who can guide me through focused accent-improvement drills rather than broad fluency lessons. Here’s how I imagine our collaboration: • Live, interactive sessions online (Zoom, Google Meet or similar) where you demonstrate mouth placement and intonation, then watch me mimic and fine-tune in real time. • Targeted practice using IPA symbols, minimal-pair exercises, connected-speech work and shadowing of authentic audio so I can hear and feel the contrast between the two accents. • Personalised homework: short audio or video assignments that you evaluate with time-stamped feedback, highlighting which consonant clusters, vowels or prosodic features I still need to adjust. Acceptance criteria • Noticeable reduction of L1 interference in both or one accents, confirmed through before/after recordings. • A clear, structured set of practice materials I can continue using independently once our package of lessons ends.
