We are recruiting for an expanding boutique law firm in the heart of Preston. with parking and great transportation links. You will be working within a driven and highly successful firm, which provides its clients the highest standards in care and attention for each case. The firm is now expanding its services creating a Family law division. You will possess the ability to work well independently heading up the Family Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experience and passionate Family Solicitor. Though will consider newly qualified applications.
The successful candidate will:
Maintain your continuing professional development requirements
Ensure Family Law knowledge is up to date and is familiar with all relevant legislation
Be self-motivated and driven
Work in a collaborative manner with the firm
Have a positive approach and strong work ethic
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
Draft, review, and manage a varied caseload of Family Law matters including:
Divorce / Separation / Civil Partnerships / Pre-Nuptial Agreements / Co-habitation / Private disputes involving children
Conduct legal research and investigate the facts of each case
Actively manage and develop client relationships including day to day contact with key clients
Conduct negotiations to reach desirable outcomes.
Efficiently running an individual caseload and timely completion of forms, letters and applications
Skills and Qualifications
Relevant legal qualification
Preferred 3 years of post-qualified experience (PQE)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional analytical and reasoning skills
Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
Proven track record building strong client/stakeholder relationships
Exemplary customer service
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and LEAP
Experience working in this area of law
Preston City Centre with parking and close to transportation links. Split Office / Home working options considered.
This position is offered on a self employed basis with the opportunity to become permanent if desired.
The position is initially 2/3 days a week then increasing.
