The laptop is connected to my router, which is also connected to my Mac desktop machine, which runs Yosemite.
I want to be able to manage backups for the Ubuntu machine as follows:
**create bootable backup of the entire drive onto a USB drive that is attached to the machine - maybe you can run clonezilla to achieve this, or maybe you will write a backup script that uses rsync over ssh. Either way I need a copy of the script or instructions on how to run the backup on future occasions, after the first time;
**write backup script that uses rsync over ssh. This script will reside on my Mac. It should access the server automatically every day at 12 noon, and back up the entire server into a folder on my Mac. Script will only overwrite older files.
