controller firmware modification (Linux based)

I have an Asic miner controller which runs on Linux firmware . I need to make small modifications on firmware . I'd prefer someone who has experience with Asic miner controllers or raspberry pie which is pretty similar to this controller. Modification is not major only a few lines needs to removed .
