During that period I have installed, administrate and maintain a large amount of various servers, such as Web Server (Apache, IIS), Mail Server (Postfix, Exim, MS Exchange), DNS Server (BIND, Unbound, MS DNS), etc., based on , FreeBSD, CentOS, RHL, etc. And of course I have a lot of experience in working with MS Servers and other MS products. Hi. Do not sure if this is exactly your problem. If you able to connect with ssh and do something with little output, but on big output the ssh session became frozen and closes after timeout - then I can give you an answer why it is happening almost instantly. I can also review your setup of iptables if something is wrong with it.

I work with multiple Linux Distros. Scripting and iptables are a default part of my standard build process. Please confirm what the aim of the script is, what issues you are experiencing and what version of VMWare Workstation you are wanting to be used.

What OS and Version number was the script originally designed for. I ask cause if this is a script from a previous version of linux the iptables in the current may have new commands resulting in your errors. If not then a simple edits to the iptables entries for whatever configured chains would be necessary. Can any other port be routed properly or is all ports are currently blocked. Please provide as much info about the networking going on in the VM.
