We are a looking for an experienced Perl programmer in Linux environment to develop a solution to grab incoming video, possibly join them (with ‘dissolve’ effect between them if possible) if it is a series of files going and place watermarks (logo + text) as well as subtitles based on timeline (from sec to sec and text in Unicode) and then upload the video to social media platforms (YouTube and Facebook). We also have a similar (not watermarking or processing) need to upload incoming audio files to an audio platform through their API.
You are also free to choose anything else than FFmpeg as long as it works for the required project in Debian distro and the programming language. It would be ideal if the architecture of the solution could be three fold: watcher, processor and publisher. An API with OO approach would be appreciated.
Watcher would be monitoring (cron-based) the incoming directories, identify the files that belong together and the processor as described above, concentrate on joining files (with default initial clip and end clip), watermarking and subtitling (only titles of those in the interview sessions etc. based on text files that contain necessary data). You can decide file naming conventions and how they should be formatted. The system should be flexible to add more incoming paths (those who submit material) with a file based configuration (config file). Once the files are uploaded, the editor(s) would need an email alert so that they can authorise release of the material after viewing it in the publishing platform. For example, if it is YouTube, the file would be uploaded as unlisted so that a news editor would decide upon whether to make it public or not after viewing everything. Emailing of embed code and preview link would make the workflow of those filing stories easier.

Hi. LWP can be used for the API functionality, and Moose to help building an OO interface. There is a pre-existing FFmpeg module for Perl, but it is very old (updated 2006) and probably not reliable. It will likely Daha Fazla
