Updater for Linux in c++
The linux updater is started every 3 hours by a cron job.
download a zip file from a https server
extract the files inside the zip to a temporary file.
check if the files has a valid signature
cancel if the files are not newer than the existing files
stop our daemon
copy the files to destination
set the user and the permission for the files (chown / chmod)
start the daemon
the configuration is in /etc/[login to view URL]
zipfile= [login to view URL]
tempfolder= /var/proupdate/temp
pubkey = 1234AF …
destination= /var/pro/
user= prouser
chmod= prod,proagent
stopdaemon= systemctl start protond
startdaemon= systemctl stop protond
the cronjob start /var/pro/proupdate without any parameter
installing the cronjob
if we start proupdate with parameter -cron it create a cron job (onyl if the cron job does not already exist)
the logfiles are written to /var/log/[login to view URL]
i need the version without the signature checking today .. or till tomorrow.
checking the signature can be added till next monday
the app does not depend on any external application or library.
i needd the sourcecode incl a make file, so that i can compile with gcc
proupdate run as root
