VPN site-to-site digital ocean ubuntu to Cisco

We have setup a tunnel from our digital ocean ubuntu server to a cisco VPN router. All is working, but we cannot route data (nor ping) from our server on this side of the tunnel to the server on the other side. The server on our side is on the same digital ocean subnet, but the VPN is setup to use only public IPs. We suspect something is wrong with the routing on our server or VPN server side. The tunner is established and up already.

The task is to make the whole setup work, so that we can ping from our server to the remote server, going through the VPN tunnel.
