Project Overview I am working on a personal research and experimentation project in the domain of Wi-Fi network security and intrusion detection. I already have a published IEEE research paper on this topic, which will serve as a starting reference, and I want to extend, improve, and evolve the work into a strong end-to-end research project suitable for: Advanced ML/DL experimentation What I Need Help With The freelancer will act as a research collaborator to: Extend the Existing Research Work Use the current paper as a baseline Improve explanations, methodology clarity, and technical depth Refine problem framing and system design Add New Experimental Contributions Introduce at least one meaningful enhancement, such as: Additional model (e.g., LSTM, CNN-LSTM, XGBoost, or Transformer-based model) Feature ablation / sensitivity analysis Explainability analysis (feature importance, SHAP, etc.) Improved handling of class imbalance or misclassification Clearly differentiate baseline vs enhanced approach Improve Research Quality & Readability Strengthen: Motivation & design rationale Result interpretation (why results change across datasets) Transferability discussion across network environments Add clearer diagrams and flowcharts Originality & Clean Writing Rewrite and expand content to ensure low similarity Properly cite the base paper as prior work Avoid academic coursework or thesis-style language Technical Stack Domain: Machine Learning / Deep Learning / Network Security Datasets: AWID, AWID3 Models: CNN, MLP (baseline) + additional advanced model Tools: Python, TensorFlow / PyTorch, Scikit-learn Metrics: Accuracy, Precision, Recall, F1-Score, AUC Deliverables Enhanced research write-up (Word / Markdown / LaTeX) Updated methodology & architecture diagrams Comparative result tables & graphs Clearly documented improvements over the baseline Ready-to-show personal research project Freelancer Profile Preferred Experience in ML/DL research or applied AI projects Familiar with IEEE-style research papers Comfortable working as a research collaborator, not just a writer Ability to suggest technical improvements
