I need a data scientist who can develop a decision tree model using historical patient medical records to predict heart disease. Key Details: - The data source is historical patient medical records. - All records are labeled with the condition of heart disease. - The medical records include demographic information such as age and gender. Ideal Skills and Experience: - Proficiency in machine learning, particularly in decision tree algorithms. - Experience in handling and analyzing medical data. - Strong understanding of demographic data interpretation. - Ability to deliver clear and understandable model predictions. (1) In this assignment, we will give a lot of emphasis on what you have done to reduce overfitting and make the decision tree simpler. Note that when you train a decision tree, you can do a number of things to avoid overfitting: setting max_depth, setting max_nodes_in_a_leaf, doing cost complexity pruning. A good submission will explore all these paths. (2) We will also place emphasis on how well you interpret the final decision tree. Will it be actually useful for doctors? Your interpreation will carry a lot of weight. (3) As always, the technical details of data cleaning, data visualization and building the model will also carry importance.
