We (a creative agency in Shoreditch) recently had a web app developed by a third party. They did a reasonable job in a short timeframe to deliver the MVP but sadly weren't reliable partners for the longer term, so we're looking for someone who can take this work on, fixing bugs and issues, and implement the product roadmap with us as it develops.
This contract is for remote work, but please continue reading ONLY if you are UK based, can occasionally visit our East London office for catch-ups, and are prepared to work with a pre-existing codebase on a LAMP/CodeIgniter/jquery stack.
What we're looking for:
Pragmatism: there is scope to change the underlying tech if better alternatives exist (and the business case can be made), but right now we need to incrementally deliver working updates to what we have.
Communication & collaboration: we need someone who will be honest and open about the state of play, shares problems and challenges with us and can dedicate time to this as agreed.
Commitment/remuneration: Not 100% certain on the full scope at the moment, but I suspect we’ll have between £1k-3k to spend in the next few months to work on on one or two short development sprints, the first would be mainly bug fixing, the second implementing some new functionality. There will be more coming afterwards, but we don’t have a detailed roadmap yet - that will be contingent on finding a reliable partner, which is where you come in...
If this sounds like you then please introduce yourself by email. Be prepared to talk about relatively complex, highly-functional, web apps that you’ve built (not websites). We’re unlikely to take on a company to do this, but one man bands, freelancers and sole traders, feel free!
PS. apologies if I don't get back to you, I will try to, assuming that you have read the above.
