Small Australian Company is considering moving production from Queensland to Kuala Lumpur. Strategically we would benefit from lower rents, lower wages, and lower consumable costs. The cost of capital equipment is probably higher in Malaysian and obviously the cost of freight is higher to ship our products back to Australia, although we do also have the advantage of shipping to SE Asian countries too, (if the right marketing plan was in place for that). Most of our orders are from our websites so this is where we would concentrate our expansion. If you have business planning experience, and a sound understanding of marketing, research and financial modeling, you can help me make the right choices. I would prefer you to be a local and very familiar with Malaysia and the business sector in Kuala Lumpur, and a knowledge of exporting. This is an exercise in establishing where the best long term advantage lies for us, (but without needless layers of detail). Thank you.
