Project Title: Mechanical Design & Prototyping for Modular Kinetic Art System Project Overview: I am developing a kinetic art installation using a grid of servo-actuated elements (similar to the "Moving Cans Board"). I need a freelancer to design and build the initial mechanical modules. The total number of elements is currently TBD, so the design must be modular and scalable. Note: Electronics, wiring, and software are handled in-house. This project is strictly for the mechanical design, fabrication of parts, and assembly of a test module. Scope of Work: Mechanical Design: Create a robust, repeatable "cell" design that houses a micro-servo and its display attachment (plate/can). Scalability: The design must allow these cells to be easily bolted together into a larger grid or strip. Prototyping: Fabricate a small test array (e.g., 4 to 12 units) to verify movement range and alignment. Optimization: Ensure the design is cost-effective for eventual mass production (e.g., optimized for 3D printing or laser cutting). Technical Requirements: Design for micro-servos (e.g., SG90/MG90S).
