Modernize Restaurant Menu & Branding

PROJECT OVERVIEW I am looking for an experienced graphic designer with strong menu design and branding experience to completely redesign the visual identity of my restaurant menus. This is not a simple menu update. I am looking for a modern, professional redesign that improves customer experience, menu readability, brand consistency, and future scalability across print and digital formats. The restaurant is primarily a Chinese takeaway and dine-in business, with an additional Fish & Chips menu operating under the same brand. DELIVERABLES 1. TAKEAWAY MENU * Recommended format: 4-page hi-fold or 6-page tri-fold (open to suggestions) * Approximately 150+ menu items * Many dishes share the same sauce/protein structure * Menu should be organised intelligently to reduce clutter and repetition * Vegetarian items must be clearly identified * Allergen information must be incorporated * Categories include starters, soups, rice dishes, noodle dishes, mains, sides, specials, etc. * Print-ready artwork required 2. EAT-IN MENU * A3 double-sided format * Same branding as takeaway menu * Designed specifically for in-store use * Optimised for readability and customer browsing 3. FISH & CHIPS SUB-MENU * Approximately 25 menu items plus size variations * Uses the same logo and overall brand identity * Should have its own personality while remaining consistent with the main brand 4. DIGITAL MENU SCREENS * 4 landscape digital screens * Categories already exist but I would welcome professional recommendations regarding layout, grouping, and content distribution * Must be designed specifically for customer viewing distance and fast ordering decisions 5. MINI BRAND GUIDELINES * Colour palette * Typography recommendations * Icon system (vegetarian, allergens, etc.) * Layout principles * Guidance for future promotional materials and menu updates PROJECT REQUIREMENTS * Complete redesign, not a refresh of the existing menu * Modern design direction only * No traditional or stereotypical Chinese takeaway styling * Clean, premium and highly organised layout * Ability to simplify large amounts of menu content without making the menu feel overcrowded * Strong understanding of hospitality, restaurant or takeaway menu design * Ability to advise on menu structure and user experience CONTENT PROVIDED * Logo * Excel spreadsheet containing menu items, descriptions and pricing * Existing menu for reference only (not to be copied) * Vegetarian and allergen information FILES REQUIRED * Fully editable source files * Canva preferred, Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe Illustrator also acceptable * Print-ready files * High-resolution PDFs * Organised file structure for future edits IDEAL DESIGNER * Proven experience designing restaurant menus * Strong portfolio demonstrating clean, modern layouts * Able to think strategically about menu organisation and customer experience * Interested in building a long-term working relationship for future promotional materials, posters and marketing assets When applying, please provide: 1.
