I’d like a custom Java plugin that lets my equestrian SMP server community look after their horses in a far richer way than vanilla Minecraft allows. The core functions I need right now are: • Horse claiming – players should be able to claim any untamed or unowned horse so the plugin recognises them as the owner and protects them from damage. • Horse naming – be able to give a horse a custom name. • List of owned horses – be able to open a gui of all owned horses. • Trust system – owners can add or remove trusted players who may ride, manage or teleport that specific horse. • Horse stats – the plugin must read and store each horse’s jump height and movement speed so players can review them later. • Horse teleport – with the right permission, a player can bring a registered horse to their location, teleport to a horsses position or send it back to its set “home” position. • Transfering ownership –transferring ownership between players with confirmation prompts. When a player runs an info command (or right-clicks with a configurable item), I want a clean, chat-based or GUI page that displays: • Owner name + trusted players list • Breed & gender • Age • Jump & speed • Coat colour and any modifier Plus the ability to add more down the line as more features are added Additional quality-of-life features I’d like baked in if possible: – Simple breed & gender system that opens a path for “re-imagined breeding” in a future update (please structure the code so adding genetics later won’t be painful). – An expandable permissions/layout structure so I can toggle or add future mechanics without rewriting core classes. – We would like it so that players have to claim naturally spawning horses but will need admin commands to be able to edit all of a horses properties and spawn in custom horses. Technical notes • Server software: Paper 1.21.11 • Language: Java 17+. • Config files should be human-readable YAML with comments so I can tweak messages, limits, cooldowns and command aliases easily. Deliverables 1. Compiled jar ready to drop into /plugins. 2. Complete, well-commented source code (GitHub or zip). 3. A short README covering commands, permissions and config options. 4. One round of post-delivery bug fixes. If you have experience with entity data management, Spigot GUIs and clean permission handling, this could be a straightforward build. I’m happy to answer implementation questions and will consider ongoing work as we are wanting to add more complex features down the line. We are open to discuss payment.
