I'm speaking at an industry event in November and would like assistance writing my 30 minute speech.
I work for Signal Hill Petroleum in Long Beach, CA. An industry colleague invited me to speak in Colorado to a group of 500 plus professionals regarding oil field operations in urban environments. SHP has managed to successfully operate right in the middle of a dense population and the climate in Colorado is similar right now, i.e. communities are growing up in existing oil fields and the companies need to learn how to co-exist.
I'd like you to take my topic and notes and mold them into an effective and poignant speech. My writing skills are weak and this is my first time public speaking so I definitely need some help. Not to mention I'm putting a ridiculous amount of pressure on myself. A voice in my head keeps telling me this is a critical moment in my career even though I know that's not the case.
I am currently reading "As We Speak" by Peter Myers and Shaun Nix and would like to use their principles in the speech. I would provide you with specific tips I'd like to implement from the book.
The title of the talk is "Long Beach Oil Field, a Primer for Wattenberg". I plan to gather more information about Wattenberg as preparation for my speak and would provide you with info as it comes in. I really want this to be applicable to my audience and not just fluff or an opportunity to pat my company on the back for the good things we are doing.
I have attached some initial brainstorming notes and other presentation materials. If you are interested, I would love to schedule a time to talk more.
I look forward to hearing from you.
