Hi — Elias here from Miami. I see you're looking to develop a data-driven fuel management dashboard. The goal is to create an intuitive interface that supports decision-making and drives efficiencies in fuel management. The real technical challenge often lies in integrating various data sources. What usually matters most is ensuring data flows seamlessly from IoT devices to your dashboard. The tricky part is managing permissions for different users, ensuring sensitive data is protected while accessible to authorized personnel. My approach would be to design the system with scalability in mind. I would leverage cloud services for data storage and processing, creating a modular architecture for future enhancements. This ensures stability and simplifies ongoing maintenance. I have experience developing similar dashboards and working with IoT data integration, which has taught me how to balance performance with user experience effectively. A few questions to better understand the scope: Q1 – What specific IoT devices will the dashboard need to integrate with? Q2 – Are there particular user roles and permissions we should consider? Q3 – What are your expectations for real-time data updates? Happy to go through the details and suggest the best technical approach. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Your brief is detailed and reads like a full rebuild of an existing fuel operations platform, not just a simple dashboard skin update. I can help with the upgraded UX layer, data-driven dashboard structure, SQL-backed logic, real-time reporting, and the integration planning needed for multiple OEM/IoT sources. The part I like here is that you already have the business logic defined, which helps reduce confusion and keeps the build focused. I’d be happy to review the current setup and map out the cleanest way to rebuild this from scratch while improving usability and reporting quality.

Hey there, This scope is well-defined, and the fact that MST is providing the architecture, wireframe, APIs, data mapping, and reconciliation logic means the main risk is execution across the two data sources rather than requirements discovery. I’d keep the implementation focused on the stated 1-site/1-tank scope and pay particular attention to the common-identifier matching, because that is what turns the separate fuel and vehicle APIs into useful reporting. I’d also validate that matching progressively during development rather than leaving it until UAT. For the stated components, I’d estimate roughly 90–105 productive hours with one developer, within your 4-week window, assuming the supplied APIs and business logic are ready as described. Your requested AUD 40–50/hour range puts that at approximately AUD 3,600–5,250 depending on the final hours. Would you like the quotation broken into the same 12 components with hours and milestone costs? Best regards, Hammad Hassan

Hello!, I am a Florida-based senior software engineer(frontend, backend, ecommerce, etc) and I read your Fuel Management Dashboard scope carefully. I understand you need a data-driven dashboard that pulls together fuel usage, IoT/device data, database records, and analytics into one clear view for better tracking and decision-making. I have about 15 years of experience building dashboards, data pipelines, cloud-connected apps, and database systems, so this fits my background well. I’ve delivered production tools where accuracy, usability, and clean reporting really mattered, and I focus on solutions that are practical, scalable, and easy to maintain. My approach would be: 1) confirm the data sources and KPIs 2) map the database and integration flow 3) design a clean dashboard UX 4) build the backend and analytics layer 5) test with real scenarios and refine A few relevant examples of my work: - FleetOps Insight Dashboard - TankTrack Analytics Portal - BeaconFuel Mobile Monitor - CoreFlow Data Control Panel Could you please clarify the following questions to help me better understand the project? 1) What data sources are in scope, IoT devices, manual entries, APIs, or existing databases? 2) Which metrics matter most on the dashboard, fuel consumption, variance, alerts, or usage trends? 3) Do you already have wireframes, or should I propose the dashboard structure? I pay close attention to the details upfront so the final result matches the real goal, not just the brief.

Hi, Migrating off a dashboard provider while keeping the same reconciliation logic is mostly a data-mapping problem before it's a design one, so I'd start by reverse-engineering your current opening + deliveries - issues = closing rules so nothing drifts in the rebuild. Question: are the OEM feeds (SmartFill, Teltonika, Omnicomm) all REST/API pull, or do any push, since that changes how we handle the 60-second refresh and redundancy. Most of my work is exactly this kind of API integration and SQL backend, including a LAMP web app with multiple third-party API integrations and REST endpoints, 5-star on Upwork with the client saying they'd hire again. On the front end we've also built a responsive management dashboard from Figma designs with live data views. Since it's hourly with no history yet, I'd scope requirements and data mapping first so you see real output early. What's the current stack we're migrating from? Adil

I’ve gone through the scope carefully, and this looks like a serious operational platform involving live tank data, issuance logs, transfers, genset monitoring, and management-level reporting. I can support the redesign and development direction with a focus on clarity, functional dashboards, exception visibility, and a smoother user experience across sites and user roles. The fact that you already know the data sources and expected outputs is a big advantage for delivery. If you want, we can start by breaking the system into prototype, integration, and deployment phases.

Hi, This revised scope is clear and fits my background well. Since MST is providing the dashboard reference, wireframe, architecture, business logic, API access and data mapping, I can focus directly on implementation rather than spending project time redefining requirements you already have. I’ll build the required front-end and supporting backend services, integrate the Fuel Management API and Asset & Vehicle Details API, and use the supplied common identifier to reliably match dispensing transactions with the corresponding vehicle/assets. The dashboard will cover the supplied current/historical fuel levels, deliveries, fuel issues, reconciliation and reporting requirements for the initial 1-site / 1-tank deployment. I’ll also handle API errors, missing/mismatched records, loading states and data validation so operational figures remain traceable rather than silently producing incorrect dashboard totals. Development will follow MST’s technical direction, with testing against the supplied acceptance requirements before deployment. Delivery includes tested source code, deployment, corrections, documentation and complete source handover.
