We have a device which sends data via a Microchip Classic Bluetooth module (RN42) to an Android smartphone at a rate of about [url removed, login to view] bytes/sec. We would like to add support for iphone and ipad. We have hardware which attaches a Apple MFI Authentication chip to the microcontroller in our device. The microcontroller we are using is PIC24EP512GP806. The Bluetooth module will still be the standard Classic Bluetooth module RN42. We need someone to modify our firmware so that our device would be able to communicate with either an Android or a ios Smartphone.
We are not looking for an ios developer. We need to modify our firmware to embed iAP protocol in our microcontroller in order to communicate with an ios device. The modified firmware must handle all the authentications and send data using iAP protocol to an ios device. It must also continue support of Android devices. The Bluetooth module we are using is NOT a BLE module. It is a standard Classic Bluetooth module from Microchip/Roving Networks (RN42). BLE would not work due to limited throughtput.
