Hi, As per my understanding: The real decision isn't the calendar view, it's that "colour carries through every view" plus multiple people on one slot means colour needs to live on the assignment field, a native People column, not manually coloured cells, since manual colouring breaks the moment views change. Implementation approach: I'd assign staff through Monday's native People column, since person entries carry a persistent colour and avatar automatically across Calendar, Timeline, and Table views, and multiple people can sit on the same cell without extra setup. The calendar itself uses Monday's native Calendar view mapped to the deadline column, set to a rolling one-week window. The main table stays limited to project name and deadline only, as specified, with anything else from your spreadsheet moved off the primary layout unless you want it kept. Board permissions get set so only the two admin seats have access, tested by checking a non-admin login can't see the workspace. A few quick questions: 1. Besides project name and deadline, is there other data from the spreadsheet worth keeping on the board? 2. Should the one-week window auto-advance each week, or reset manually? 3. Are the 10 team members already added as users in this account, or do they need creating first?

Hi there, Two of your requirements pull against each other in Monday. The People column takes several assignees, which you need, but it cannot hold a fixed colour per person. Only Status and Dropdown labels carry colour. The way through is one row per assignment rather than one per project. The project and its deadline stay on the parent row, and each subitem holds one person, one date range and a colour coded label. Several people on the same slot then appear as separate bars. That gives you drag and drop on a Timeline or Calendar view filtered to a rolling week, and each colour holds across every view because it comes from the label rather than the avatar. Workload view then shows who is stretched. Model it as assignments rather than projects, or the colour rule and the several people rule will keep contradicting each other. Send the spreadsheet over and I will map your ten names to labels before building.
