I need a senior-level electrical engineer who can split time between working remotely and being on site in Orange County, CA. The project centers on motor-control electronics, so every board you design must reliably drive, sense, and protect a variety of motors under real-world loads. Here’s the flow I expect: • Draw the schematic and capture the BOM for a new motor-control PCB, selecting components that meet cost, thermal, and EMI constraints. • Lay out the board for manufacturability, noise immunity, and serviceability, then generate all fabrication and assembly files. • Oversee prototype builds, bring the hardware up in the lab, and run functional, thermal, and load tests with my existing motor rigs. • When issues surface, dive into trace analysis, oscilloscopes, and firmware hooks to isolate root causes, revise the design, and verify the fix. • Document each revision so the design can move smoothly into small-batch production. KiCad, or similar professional CAD tools are fine as long as output files remain fully editable. Success means the board passes bench tests, handles specified currents without thermal derating, meets EMI limits, and is delivered to production with complete, clean documentation (schematic, layout, Gerbers, pick-and-place, test report, revision log). If you’re comfortable moving from design desk to lab bench and can accommodate a few on-site days each month in Orange County, let’s talk schedules and milestones.

With over a decade of experience in electrical engineering and a specific focus on motor-control electronics, I am confident in my ability to contribute to your project's success. My expertise in designing PCBs that efficiently drive, sense and protect motors under real-world loads aligns perfectly with your requirements. Having worked with similar professional CAD tools like KiCad, I can guarantee user-friendly, maintainable output files. What sets me apart is the depth of understanding I have across the entire product pipeline - from schematic drawing and BOM capture to overseeing prototype builds and running functional tests. Troubleshooting is one of my key competencies, and I would relish any challenges your motor rigs present. Whether it is utilizing oscilloscopes or diving into firmware hooks, my methodical approach ensures efficient resolution of issues. Lastly, my dedication to thorough documentation will ensure easy transitioning into small-batch production. Should you choose to work with me, you'll not only gain a technically competent engineer but also a reliable partner committed to delivering excellent quality work that meets milestones. Verifying this just requires us to have a conversation about schedules and milestones – so let's jump on a call!

Your project aligns strongly with my experience in motor-control electronics, PCB design, and hardware validation. I have worked on high-current embedded systems involving BLDC/DC motor drivers, sensing, and protection circuits. I can handle the complete workflow from schematic and BOM development to PCB layout and manufacturing files. My layouts focus on thermal performance, EMI reduction, grounding strategy, and production readiness. I am experienced with KiCad and Altium Designer and provide fully editable source files. I also support prototype bring-up, oscilloscope-based debugging, thermal/load testing, and root-cause analysis. For motor-control systems, I prioritize gate-driver integrity, current sensing accuracy, and protection reliability. I can assist with revision tracking, documentation, and smooth transition into small-batch production. I am comfortable coordinating remote work along with scheduled on-site support in Orange County when required.

Hi there, I’ve carefully read your project description, and I can help design, bring up, and validate motor-control PCBs that are reliable under real load conditions. I’m Samuel Tshibangu, a mechatronics engineer with hands-on experience in motor-control electronics, PCB design, power stages, current/voltage sensing, MOSFET/driver circuits, thermal considerations, EMI-aware layout, and prototype debugging. I’ve already worked with motor drivers, embedded control boards, oscilloscopes, firmware-level testing, and production-ready PCB documentation. I can support schematic design, BOM selection, PCB layout, Gerbers, pick-and-place files, prototype bring-up, thermal/load testing, revision tracking, and clear documentation. I can work remotely and discuss planned on-site integration sessions if scheduling/travel is agreed. Feel free to send me a message with the motor specs and current requirements, and I can start reviewing the design needs right away. Best regards, Samuel Tshibangu
