I am looking to further my knowledge of Java, specifically building complex JavaFX applications that consist of multiple packages within multiple src folders. This JavaFX application will need to invoke multiple scenes in a daisy chain fashion, connect to a MySQL database and include scripts that will enable a command line build within Ubuntu. This application will not technically do anything other serve as a design pattern for a large JavaFX application. However, it must build error free, run code from all src folders and packages within and be able to insert into a MySQL db without throwing any exceptions.
The project should have scripts so that it can be built and run from the command line. The main project will invoke a JavaFX application to a scene with a button that invokes another scene. The next scene will have fields to enter DB credentials and a button that connects to a local MySQL instance and display results selected from information_schema.tables. The application should contain java files from multiple src folders and packages. I would like the overall design/layout to be something that a very complex app could be built on since the application will have multiple scenes with many controls so organization and design will be key to the longevity and viability of the app. It would also like to have one scene that draws a static grid with a dynamic line overlay. i attached an image of what I would like it to look like.
this is what the grid would look like.
the rest of the application would just be basic, no thrills...
I just need enough to see a good design pattern for a large application.
the blue line is dynamic the rest would be static.
