I have a partner company that asks me to upload a file through a webpage. I have to do this manually right now. I would like to automate the process. I have been told it is possible from the partner company. They explain the following:
There is no formal API or webservice to accept the file w/o webpage interaction.
However, it is an HTTP POST and you will need 4 variables (see below)
Provided these values are valid, the data will upload.
You are of course now responsible for parsing out the errors returned in the HTML
The URL of the QA testing page is [url removed, login to view]
You can use the following values to fill in the form, and I have attached a sample file for uploading
73500-I-155 will be the upload code.
tony at latitude [space] software [dot] com for the email
4 = record count
I would like you to write a [url removed, login to view] function that I can call to upload the file for me so I don't have to open a browser. I will put the function into my windows service that runs nightly. I will pass it the 3 values and the file path/name to upload.
