Develop a windows application that I can call from the command line with command line arguments for proxy, port, username and password, that will change "on the fly" (while the WebBrowser control is already running) the proxy that internet explorer is using. It must change the proxy settings in a way so that I am not asked for the username and password in Internet Explorer. I have been using a program called proxyfirewall and it works great but I need to have this process automated.
I found this on a similar post a few years back:
The code for changing the proxy/port has already been developed (It uses WinINet dll to change the IE options) Changing the Reg-key’s does not appear to work for on the fly (requires IE restart). There is an InternetSetOption setting for proxy username/password but there has been no luck trying to use that.
These are for HTTP proxies, and the proxy authentication is by a basic HTTP user/password dialog.

Desired functionality is: Run the program from the command line using a script supplying username/password/proxy address as command line arguments. Visit website1, have the script change the proxy visit website2 without having to type in any information, especially username and password, while Internet Explorer is still open.
