I'm looking for an expert to design a CloudStack architecture that meets several critical requirements. This architecture will primarily be used for running virtual machines that handle CPU-intensive tasks. Key Requirements: - High Availability: The system should be designed to minimize downtime and ensure consistent performance. - Geographical Redundancy: I want the architecture to withstand regional outages. - Optimal Performance: The design should facilitate efficiently handling CPU-intensive tasks, ensuring the VMs run smoothly. - Security: The architecture must incorporate a robust security framework, including data encryption at rest, network firewalls, and user authentication and access control. - Manageability: The system should be easy to monitor and maintain. Ideal Skills and Experience: - Proven experience in designing CloudStack architectures. - Expertise in virtual machine management. - Strong understanding of high-availability systems and geographical redundancy. - Experience in designing systems for CPU-intensive tasks. - Comprehensive knowledge of security measures in cloud architectures. Key Requirements Infrastructure Minimum two geographically diverse data centres. Active-Active configuration with N+1 redundancy. Ubuntu Minimal LTS with KVM Hypervisor. Network topology and component interaction diagrams. Storage Ceph Object Storage: Multi-site replication with at least three monitor nodes per site. Block Storage: IOPS and latency specifications, QoS policies, replication, and snapshot management. Networking VXLAN Implementation: VTEP setup, overlay design, MTU specs, control plane architecture. IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack support. Administration RBAC admin portal. DHCP, DNS, IPAM, and routing topology. Compute Host clustering, resource allocation, instance sizing, and auto-scaling. Image catalog management with version control. Monitoring Metrics collection and alerting thresholds. Deliverables Documentation: Architecture document. Network diagrams. Implementation runbook. Performance Standards: 99.99% availability. Storage latency under 5ms. Recovery Point Objective (RPO): < 15 minutes. Recovery Time Objective (RTO): < 1 hour. Support for 1,000+ instances.
