I need a clean, well-documented OpenVPN deployment on a Windows server. The box will act as the single entry point for up to ten remote users who must enjoy full, seamless access to our internal network once connected. Here is what I expect from you: • Install the current OpenVPN Community or Access Server build (whichever you recommend for Windows) and make sure the service starts automatically. • Generate the CA, server certificate, and 10 client profiles, each bundled as an .ovpn file. • Configure routing, firewall rules, and DNS push so that a connected client can reach any internal resource exactly as if they were on-site—file shares, RDP sessions, line-of-business apps, everything. • Harden the server: TLS cipher settings, proper key sizes, and Windows firewall tweaks to allow only the necessary ports. • Provide a brief, step-by-step document (or screen-recording, if you prefer) so I can add or revoke users later without needing further assistance. I will supply RDP access to the Windows host and any static network information you need (subnet, gateways, DNS). Once you confirm that a test client can authenticate, obtain an IP, and reach internal devices, the job is done.

==== Hi - Truong here ==== "WINDOWS OPENVPN REMOTE NETWORK ACCESS" — you need ten remote users to work as if they were physically on the internal network, with secure routing and simple user management. I’d configure OpenVPN on the Windows server with individual client profiles, certificate-based authentication, pushed DNS/routes and Windows Firewall rules limited to the required VPN traffic. I’d then test an actual client against internal file shares, RDP and other resources rather than stopping at successful VPN authentication. I’ll also document the exact process for adding and revoking users, including what needs to be changed when a profile is compromised. Should the VPN clients access the entire internal subnet, or only specific servers and services? Looking forward to work with you

OpenVPN's TLS-Crypt handshake adds a layer most Windows setups skip, and it's the difference between a VPN endpoint that survives a scan and one that gets probed on port 1194 within the hour. That plus split-tunnel DNS push (so internal hostnames resolve without leaking every lookup out the tunnel) is really the whole job here. Running gluetun and OpenVPN in my own homelab day to day, I've done exactly this shape of setup more than once: single entry point, push routes for the internal subnet, DNS handed out through the tunnel rather than falling back to public resolvers, and firewall rules scoped so file shares and RDP are reachable but nothing else on that server is exposed. AES-256-GCM plus TLS 1.2 minimum gets the cipher suite where it needs to be without breaking older RDP clients. For 10 concurrent users the main thing to lock down early is the client cert setup so revoking one user doesn't mean touching the other nine, and getting the routing table right so remote traffic doesn't accidentally tromboneback out to the internet. I'll set up the OpenVPN service, configure routing and firewall rules for full internal reachability, harden the TLS config, and get DNS pushing correctly to your internal resolver. Handover is a screen recording walking through adding and revoking users plus the config file annotated so it's not a black box. M1: OpenVPN install, server cert/CA setup, base config, $182, 1 day. M2: Routing, firewall rules, DNS push, TLS hardening, $220, 1 day. M3: Client testing with sample users, handover recording and docs, $148, 1 day. The 550 covers what's in the brief as written, but if there's an existing firewall or AD setup that needs specific rules carved out, or the LOB apps have odd port requirements, that could add a bit of time. Send me the current network layout (subnet, DNS setup, any existing firewall rules) and I'll firm up the number before I start.

Hi, Windows firewall profiles often block routed subnet traffic by default once the TUN/TAP adapter initializes, so I always explicitly configure the routing table and interface metrics before touching the service config. I regularly spin up OpenVPN Community builds on Windows Server for remote teams, and I will handle this by installing the current stable release, generating the client certificate authority, and configuring the pushed routes so your ten users get clean access to the internal network without split-tunnel leaks. For $250, delivered in 1 day, you get the complete installation, client profile generation, routing verification, and brief documentation covering how to add future users. Shall I set up the server using the Community edition or do you prefer the Access Server interface?

A clean, documented OpenVPN deployment for ten users is a well-defined job, and the two things that make it good rather than merely working are security and the documentation - both of which most quick setups skip. On the build: I would install a current OpenVPN, and I would recommend Community over Access Server unless you actually need the paid admin UI, since for ten users the Community edition does everything and saves the licence cost - I will say which fits once I know how you want to manage users. Each user gets their own certificate rather than a shared key, so access can be revoked per person if someone leaves or a laptop is lost, which a shared secret cannot do. Routing set so connected users get the full seamless access to the internal network you need, with the firewall opening only what is required. On security, which matters because this box becomes your single entry point: strong cipher and auth settings rather than defaults, the certificate authority kept off the public-facing box where practical, and sensible logging so you can see who connected and when. And the documentation you asked for, done properly: how to add and revoke a user, how to reissue a certificate, and how to check it is healthy - so you are not dependent on me for routine changes. I run production servers, so this is operational work I do rather than theory. What Windows Server version, and do users need the whole network or just specific services?

Hi there, Setting up a robust Windows OpenVPN deployment with seamless internal network access is exactly what I specialize in. As a Network Security Engineer with 12+ years of infrastructure and VPN experience, I've deployed secure remote access solutions for organizations across finance, healthcare, and tech sectors. I'll handle everything end-to-end: OpenVPN Community Edition installation with auto-start, PKI setup (CA, server cert, 10 client profiles), routing configuration, DNS push, and comprehensive Windows firewall hardening with TLS cipher optimization. Your remote users will authenticate, receive internal IPs, and access file shares, RDP, and LOB apps seamlessly, exactly as if on-site. I'll thoroughly test connectivity with a sample client, then provide clear step-by-step documentation and screen recordings so you can independently manage user additions and revocations going forward. Let me know if my profile looks interesting, and we can set up a time to talk. Best regards, Elijah M

Hi, I’ll set up a clean Windows OpenVPN gateway with auto-starting service, 10 bundled client .ovpn profiles, and full LAN reachability for file shares, RDP, and internal apps. The main technical concern here is getting routing, DNS push, and Windows firewall rules aligned so clients behave like they’re on-site, so I’ll verify each hop end-to-end and harden the TLS/key settings. I recently configured a similar remote-access VPN on Windows where I handled certificate generation, client provisioning, and split/full-tunnel routing with documented handoff. For your project, I’d begin by reviewing the subnet, gateway, and DNS details, then install and configure the server, test a client login, and confirm access to internal resources. Will you prefer OpenVPN Community or Access Server if both fit the host and admin workflow? Best regards, NexLoom

Hi, there. "WINDOWS OPENVPN RDB SETUP" — you need secure remote access that works like an internal network connection. I would install and configure OpenVPN on your Windows server with certificates, client profiles, routing, DNS push, and firewall rules so remote users can access internal resources smoothly. I would also harden the setup with secure TLS settings and only expose the required services. I would test with a client profile to confirm authentication, IP assignment, internal access, and stable connectivity before handover. I would provide clear documentation showing how to add or revoke users and maintain the VPN later. Do you already have the internal subnet and DNS details ready, and should remote users access all internal resources or only specific services? Looking forward to working with you.

I've deployed OpenVPN on Windows servers before, so this is right in my wheelhouse. I'll install OpenVPN Community, set up auto-start, generate CA, server cert, and 10 client profiles. Routing, firewall, and DNS push will be configured to mirror on-site access. I'll harden TLS, enforce strong ciphers, and lock down Windows Firewall. A concise doc will cover user management. Once you provide RDP and network details, I can validate connectivity and internal access. Thanks, Andrii.
