We require a PHP meta-search type project to access multiple on-line third party web-based databases, collect hits or "No Match" and integrate hits into our osCommerce store (think of a Dog Pile style meta search, but of third-party product datanases). If a match is made, the customer is afforded the opportunity to purchase the product at our designated price, with our options (ie Delivery say overnight, 2nd Day, 1 week), and added to the customer's (our) osCommerce shopping cart. Each database contains a uniform product. Price, delivery options will vary by database.
This is similar in concept to the osCommerce contribution Domains, where various whois servers are quiried, a domain is selected, and added to the cart. Like the uniform products that we locate, domain prices will vary by TLD (whois server). Instead of domains and whois, we are looking at other web-based database hits.
The separate databases are grouped by and included in a single category (also similar to domains). We'd start with 6-8 third-party databases in one category. Additional categories with compatible single-category databases will be added in the future.
A confidentiality and non-compete agreement is required. We would own any copyright/patent.
