I'm looking to get a couple thousand 7mm x 7mm PCBs made for a 5050 SMD style LED. I don't know much about PCB design but I think it's a fairly straight forward idea. I essentially need a breakout board so soldering is easier than trying to solder to the SMD pads directly. Attached is a crude photoshop drawing of what I was thinking could work, but I'm open to suggestions. The in/out are holes through the board and the 5v and ground are pads on the back of the board. Attached is the data sheet for the particular LED. Also attached is the datasheet for this particular LED. Let me know if you have any questions.

You're right, this should be pretty simple. Only potential issue I see is that the data sheet doesn't really give the pitch between SMD pins on the package. But we should be able to get close enough from the picture. Erik
