Yahoo Store Development
I need someone to create a workaround to sell large downloadable products via my Yahoo store (the current file size max is 15 megs.)
I spoke with Yahoo tech support and they thought something like this would work.
1) Customer orders downloadable product like normal and small text file is delivered to them. Inside the text file is a password-protected URL where the download is stored, along with instructions that their password name is their last name and their password is the zip code on their order form. Something to that effect.
2) Using this information (real time delivery of orders to our servers)
[url removed, login to view]
some type of CGI or XML script would take the order info (last name and zip code) and put that in the name and password list so the customer could access and download the file. Files would be about 50-60 megs on average.
The name/password would expire after a certain number of hours -- or even better, a certain number of download attempts.
3) Customer would access the file and enter their name and password.
I need someone to make this happen, test it, etc., so it is fully functional. I am open to other solutions that would work within the Yahoo store (a code that worked like this: [url removed, login to view] that I could host on my servers I have all the bandwidth I need).
I would prefer to work with someone who has Yahoo Store development experience as I have other conventional add-ons and design improvements I want to do in the future. But I have to get the downloads working first.
