Gold flares into blown-out hot spots under direct light, so I film it in soft window light that keeps the warm tone and the detail in the metal. Diamonds look dull under flat light. One small light source and a slow turn make the facets flash instead of going grey. Each piece gets a close macro pass for the craftsmanship, such as clasps, prongs and engraving, then a wider turn to show its shape. Fingerprints and dust show at macro distance, so every piece is wiped before filming. The phone stays braced on a surface with focus and exposure locked on the piece, which stops the shine from pumping as the angle changes. All footage is original and shot by me, with different pieces and angles across the set instead of one piece repeated.
