This job consists of an IT Professional to install appropriate software and configuring a fully functional FidoNet netmail feed into an existing Bulleting Board System (BBS) running Synchronet [url removed, login to view] BBS software under Windows 7.
The BBS already has a FidoNet node number (1:249/134) ready to be used.
The computer running the BBS can be accessed remotely with the free Radmin 3 viewer to "FTP" files or to work on the Windows 7 GUI desktop. The BBS front end is accessed by users by Telnet, FTP or Gopher. (But mainly by Telnet).
The IT Professional must have knowledge on working with BBS, Synchronet v.3.x BBS software and a basic understanding of how Fidonet and FTS-0001 compliant software work. (FidoNet mailer software, FOSSIL drivers, FidoNet scanners & tossers, etc) FidoNet mail will be picked up via Internet protocols.
All software to be used is freeware and readily available. All the IT Professional has to do is to find the right FidoNet freeware software components, install them on the BBS and configure them. Synchronet [url removed, login to view] BBS is already installed, up and running. Just the FidoNet components needs to be added to it.
It shouldn't take long to any BBS SysOp with experience installing a FidoNet echo, to complete this job.
