Here are the basics of this job: This will be a freelancer site that allows users to post virtually any type of job. These jobs can be jobs that can be done from any location (ie. Webdesign), or jobs that can be done only “in person”, for example, automotive repair. The site should have all of the features that Freelancer 2.9 has, with the following modifications: The “post a job” section should have the following options added: 1. How will you pay? Hourly _____ Maximum Hourly Budget (Optional) OR Fixed payment upon completion of Job _____ Maximum Project Budget (Optional) (This should allow the user to check the box for either hourly payment or per project payment. If “Hourly is checked, then the user is allowed to enter the hourly budget. Only one box can be checked and only the checked category should allow a budget to be set.) 2. Job location Job/Project can be done from any location OR Choose Location (Job/Project must be done “In Person”) Country - State/Region, City (This should first allow the user to choose a country (From a list). After the country is chosen, a list of states/Regions/Provinces should appear for the user to choose from. Finally, the user chooses from a list of cities. There should be an easy way to add (upload) location data… as we expand to additional countries. It should also be able to have the region customizable to the country. For example, if the user chooses the country of Canada, then the next option should be “Choose Province”, instead of state. When the job poster pays the $5 fee to choose someone to do the job, the job poster can choose up to 3 people to interview for the position. The bidders contact information for these 3 people will be shared with the job poster at this time. After the interviews are completed (by phone, etc.), the final person can be chosen and the job poster has the option of escrowing funds or paying in person. Feedback can only be left for/by the final chosen person. 3. Job Categories There will be in excess of 50 different job categories and sub-categories… these must be presented in a logical way so that they are easy to choose from. Elance does a fairly good job of organizing categories and sub-categories. 4. The “20 latest jobs” on the left frame should appear (like on scriptlance) Search options – Jobs should be able to be searched by Job Types, Job locations, or Both Users should have to option of uploading their picture to be included in their profile. When someone registers, they should be able to, of course, choose the job categories that they have expertise in. They should then be able to choose to receive email updates new jobs that are posted in their area and category of expertise. Funds that are escrowed should be able to be partially released. Please respond only if you have feedback or can provide examples of your experience with freelancer script.
