Hello programmers. I (besides probably thousands of others) purchased the BP Sender software to automate the posting process on Backpage.com. The new owner has arbitrarily blocked usage of the software to force current and new clients into paying a monthly fee for their posting service. This is over and above what we already paid for what at the time of purchase was a working autoposter. I have emailed them politely and have weathered nothing but rude, callous, and downright degrading emails from them. I offered to pay them (AGAIN) for a license, but they were completely inflammatory in every reply. In the absence of any help from them, I am seeking a programmer's assistance.
I have no idea what sort of impediment they put in place to block BP Sender's operability, but I was told by a programmer I know that it could be something as simple as a file changed on the server that used to support it. If so, maybe I could change the location of that file to be housed on my server. The software is very MINIMAL and BASIC. It has NO bells and whistles like the other auto-posters on the market, so it should be relatively easy to dissect and fix. Or perhaps another option would be to mirror BP Sender's style, and re-create as a new piece of software. I am looking for prices on BOTH of those options. My project is time sensitive, so anyone who is capable of this, please contact me ASAP to discuss.
I have attached a copy of the software.
