Web-based Order Database with interface
represent [login to view URL] We are a provider of color business cards primarily to the Real Estate trade. We currently have our users download an order form and mail/fax in their order. We also mail order form easels to client offices. We wish to make available to our customers the option of ordering cards online. We envision this project in 3 distinct pieces.
1. An improved order database for use by our staff. [login to view URL]
2. An online proofing tool via customer email. [login to view URL]
3. An online business card creation tool for use by our customers.
The first item for bid is the internal ordering database. I have created a HTML page of what we want: [login to view URL]
This will be the interface for our staff to enter orders coming from mail, telephone or FAX.
Besides this page and the corresponding database, we will require an administration page for viewing records in spreadsheet fashion. The user will need to have the ability to search and sort by any of the fields, view the results and export the report to Excel. User should also be able to toggle on/off the fields for viewing/exporting. The design of this will be the vendors responsibility.
The following fields will need to have the ability to add selectable items by the user or administrator.
Order taken by
Interface will need to search and display in table form with links to detail. Search functions should include Order Number and Customer Name.
The vendor will be responsible for integrating our existing SQL database of orders (10,000 +) records into the new database.
We have an existing merchant account for credit card transactions
The database will be in SQL and the interface in ASP.
Payment will be by escrow account.
We would need to see the app work on your test server. We would need to have excellent code based documentation. We have an in-house team of developers but they are very busy with other tasks. They would, however, approve or reject any programming.
We may extend an offer to complete the next 2 phases of this project if your work warrants. I am primarily a marketing/graphic designer. I may have left something out of my description. Bid winner must be flexible as to the structure and minor requirements (nitpicking) of the project. We are looking for a relationship with a viable buy-out source that could include additional projects. We are owned by Advance Business Graphics [login to view URL] a 50 million dollar a year company and are located in Southern California. I look forward to hearing from you.
