questions about pulse duration and frequency(repost)

I want to induce electric current into another object for 5 miliseconds per pulse. I would prefer that the coil diameter on the outside is totally about 30 cm and the center is about 3 cm. I want to use 4 mm thick wire (solid) and my system charges a capacitor at 7.5 kv and 0.6 UF - and has a spark over air-gap. What I want to know is this: 1) How many turns should I make the coil in order to get 5 milliseconds per pulse?? 2) Does it have any influence of the pulse duration if I use 15 kv or 7.5 kv? 3) Which influence does it have on the duration of the pulse - and the number of turns needed for the coil - if the coil has an air-core versus iron-core?
